Fix something that’s broken

An old song written two decades ago

You say you can't fix something that's broken

'Cause it hurts so bad

And you can't put it back together

When the pieces don't match

but if you would let me in,

Then I could learn

I'm strong, believe me,

Your pieces won't cause me hurt

I could try to fix whatever's broken, through all the cold

I could chase down all the demons

Just give me your hand to hold

I could fix it all just let the rest go

I won’t go if the shards give me cuts

God gives us one life

You should measure it in love

Just let go of your past

And I'll hold up your heart

I don’t know how to love but I know how to heal

You've got your demons

And I’ve got mine too

Please never let them ever

Get the best of you

You can unfreeze your heart

I won’t let you burn

We can fix something that's broken

All it takes is time

I will put them back together with you

Even if it takes all my life

Because I know

How long it takes to heal

To fix something that's broken

That’s been needing repair for so long

And I know the pain will ease,

If you would let me learn

I don’t care about what happens to me

When I’m picking up the shards

Because having you is worth any of the cuts.
